Backbone: Brewmaster Garrett Oliver's own Floor-Malted Maris Otter Pale, Great Ryburgh, England and English Crystal Malts, English Fuggle Hops ![]() Pledge Wood Polish, Bran Muffin, Banana Milkshake, Cotton, Honey, Chamomile, Sheep Poop ![]() Mango, Kerosene, Cantaloupe Melon, White Pepper, Golden Raisins, Sultanas, Pineapple, Petrol ![]() $6 | 1x 32oz growler This beer reminds me a lot of the local beers I would drink in the UK before I had a clue what an IPA was or what exactly one was supposed to do with an Imperial Russian. It's as clean as a whistle and as tasty as a Christmas hamper stuffed with gourmet foods awaiting devourment. In the drink, a rush of freshly torn tropical fruit smacks you square in the mouth while a breeze of wild flowers and wood polish teases your nose. Balancing well, the mid and rear profiles are a pleasing craft cocktail of golden fruits, spent aviation fuel and powdery white pepper. I will be sad when the taps run dry of this old world pub beer, it's yet another super solid effort by Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster Garrett Oliver. | ||||||
